A little about SKATE

Skate Fundraising started out as the Palace Moose Fundraising Program, which was formed at the Detroit Skating Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. We started off simply raising funds for ice skating programs and activities.

The intent of spinning the program off into its own 501(c)(3) organization is to open up fundraising opportunities to all athletic and educational needs of children that participate in the program.

SKATE members raise funds by working at sports and entertainment venues that exclusively use 501(c)(3) organizations to work food and beverage vending areas.

Through volunteering, SKATE members will earn credits that SKATE will use to pay for their athletic and educational activities. SKATE will make programs available for underprivileged children who cannot volunteer their time and who's guardians, due to hardships are unable to volunteer enough time to earn credits.
